From the Executive
Director
Dancing With Our Stars
was a huge success. Margaret and Scott did a terrific job , not only
did they raise the most money but they also won the popular vote.
Thanks so much.
I am also pleased to report that we had a very successful theatre
season. Attendance was higher than the previous year and one show,
Run For Your
Wife, sold out every night. I want to thank all of the
actors, tech people, staff and volunteers for making this a
wonderful season. I am quite sure that we will win some awards for
the work performed this year. I know I saw some terrific acting and
some wonderful sets.
The
folks who went on the Mexican Riviera cruise had a wonderful time.
if anyone has a photo or two to share, please drop it off and we'll
either use it on the bulletin board or in the newsletter. The
response to that trip was so good that we have planned another for
this summer to Alaska. I'd love to go on that one. Please check the
newsletter or the lobby for more details on that.
Our activities staff work very hard to make your membership in the
Center rewarding and I think they do a wonderful job, many thanks to
Daniel, Shirley and the flock of volunteers who make it possible and
to the Business Sponsors that fund many of our special events.

THE
ARTHUR NEWMAN THEATRE
On Monday, March 23, Joslyn Center Theatre was rededicated and
renamed The Arthur Newman Theatre in honor of longtime Board Member
Arthur Newman, whose continued support of our Joslyn Players and
theatre programs has been vital to their growth and excellence. Our
heartfelt thanks and sincere congratulations to Mr. Newman. |
